Sony LinkBuds have a unique and innovative open ring, donut-shaped design that allows you to hear the outside world in addition to your music. Included in the box, are a handful of detachable silicone ear fins of different sizes. After some experimentation, I found the fins that fit my ears best. The lightweight buds feel soft but are still quite durable. Even after several straight hours of wearing, the compact and discreet buds felt very comfortable in my ears. Despite the buds small size, they deliver strong audio quality with a well-balanced, crisp and clear sound. However, the bass could be a bit deeper. The battery life of 5.5 hours on a single charge is good but not great. The voice call quality is suberb with excellent clarity. I love the ear-detection sensors that automatically pause my music when I remove a bud from my ear, and then resumes the music when I put the bud back in my ear. I also appreciate the buds' Wide Area Tap feature which allows me to tap my cheek to control playback. Although, these water-resistant buds don't offer noise cancellation and do allow environmental noise in, I don't mind so much. As someone who for personal safety reasons wants to be extra alert with an increased awareness of my surroundings, these earbuds achieve what they're designed to do and perfectly fit my needs.

Really Disappointing battery life

These were great for about 18 months. Suddenly they won't hold charge, the right one doesn't charge at all. Completely un useable now. My partners ones are having issues too. At this cost they need to last longer than 18 months or at least have an easy to replace battery.

Das gleiche Problem, dass alle Besitzer nach einer Weile haben: Die Akkus gehen in die Knie. Das gleiche Problem habe ich nicht nur bei den Linkbuds, sondern auch bei den Linkbuds S Beide ein Fall für den Müll. Nie mehr Sony @Sony Bitte unterlassen sie Standardantworten auf diese Rezension. Wenn sie dem Kunden nicht weiterhelfen, brauchen sie hier nicht drauf zu antworten.

I've purchased two pairs of these since 2022. I like them very much but they just don't last. For the $180 price point, I need to have them longer than 2 years. I won't be buying a third pair.

Subscription to headphones that I own? That's crazy. Also a lot of connection issues when the app updated, and now headphone don't hold a charge while i. The case possible bad batteries? $180 and they don't even last a whole year plus lots of issues. Love the fit and sound quality is sufficient.

Good support, terrible product

I do not plan on buying Sony products again based on my experience with these headphones. I went through three pairs with constant issues. They were always good with replacements, but the product is severely flawed regardless of getting a new one. Problems connecting, one going quiet whole the other goes crackly. If you drop them the case just opens and the earbuds go flying. The only positive thing I can say and the reason I bought them was for the comfort/fit of the style. I liked how they fit, but when I got a different brand I threw these away instantly...i was listening to one earbud at the end.

Après usage, la qualité du son est bonne et le boitier et les buds semblent de bonne qualité MAIS: - Ils sont très difficile à mettre et assez vite douloureux à porter - Je suis certes atteinte d'un début de presbyacousie mais clairement, le son max est insuffisant pour moi alors que mes autres oreillettes me conviennent sur ce point - enfin, je trouve l'application de réglage très peu intuitive et donc difficile à régler Au final, je regrette fortement cet achat

Got them in February, I try to give things time to see if problems can be fixed, but this is it. Don't leave reviews but this is too much. Buds can barely keep connection to my phone when I put it in my pocket, barely keeps connection anyways, constantly says both bids are connected but only plays out of one side, constant distorted sounds, has had what sounds like some chirping alarm go off, and it's time to throw them away. Not worth the exorbitant amount of money. Could've found something better at 5-Below.

Plus jamais d’écouteurs sans fil sony

Sony semble avoir du mal à faire des écouteurs sans fil avec batterie qui tient la route. J’ai du renvoyer ceux-là en garantie car un des deux écouteurs ne chargeait plus. Idem sur une autre paire d’un autre modèle Sony pourtant pas si vieux. C’est une panne très courante sur ces écouteurs. Pour ma part je n’achèterai plus d’écouteurs Sony à batterie. Le processus SAV avec service client délocalisé était aussi très très laborieux et on doit expédier l’appareil à réparer à ses frais contrairement à d’autres concurrents dans la même gamme de prix.

Great ear bud. Fits snuggly and sound is acceptable for intended use. I use them whilst cycling so I can stay aware of my surroundings. Unfortunately battery life is dreadful. Barely 3 1/2 hours from fully charged to dead. Will continue to use these on my short rides but stick with my soundcore aerofit, which have astonishing battery life, for my day rides

Die Idee des offenen "in-ear" finde ich sehr gut. Das ist eine tolle Innovation mit der Ringform. Leider passen die LinkBuds nicht zu meinen Ohren. Das Material ist irgendwie zu hart. Die Auflagefläche an den Ohren müsste für mich deutlich weicher sein. Sehr schade. Das Konzept ist trotzdem sehr gelungen.

Die offene Konstruktion der LinkBuds ist ideal beim Sport, da das übliche "Bumpern", das beim Rennen mit geschlossenen In-Ear-Modellen durch das Auftreten mit den Füßen gern mal entsteht, vollkommen unterdrückt wird. Zudem ist man jederzeit über das Geschehen in der Umgebung im Bilde und kann dabei dennoch Musik in bester Qualität geniessen. Einziges Manko: sie könnten etwas lauter sein, da wir hier an der nordfriesischen Küste oft mit viel Wind zu kämpfen haben, der dann ein wenig zu Lasten der Lautstärke geht. Die verschiedenen Gummieinsätze lassen eine optimale Anpassung an die Ohren zu, so dass ein wirklich fester Sitz im Ohr auch während starker Kopf-Bewegungen garantiert ist. Im Vergleich zu anderen (geschlossenen) In-Ear-Modellen schneiden die offenen LinkBuds beim Sport zumindest bei mir um Längen besser ab. Auch Telefonie ist problemlos möglich. Für mekne Zwecke also alles bestens.

We regret to hear that you lost one earbud. You can use one earbud at a time. However, when the Service Link is turned on with the “Sony Sound Connect” app, you cannot use only the left unit of the headset. Depending on the headset unit you are wearing, some functions may not be available in the factory settings. The earbuds are pre-set with information that allows them to communicate with and from each other. These settings can only be configured at the Authorized Service Center (United Radio Service Inc.) with all three components present. For this reason, you can't simply replace one missing part.
If one of the earbuds is lost or damaged, send the remaining items (earbuds and charging case) to an Authorized Service Center (United Radio Service Inc.) so that a replacement for the missing part can be reset with the remaining components. You may find this link helpful:

Komplizierte Handhabung. Ich kann diese Kopfhörer nicht empfehlen. Sitzen nicht gut im Ohr. Drücken und sitzen zu locker. Der Klang ist sehr gut. ANC auch, wenn es funktioniert. Der Aufbau der App ist sehr unübersichtlich. Statt eines Handbuchs wird man auf ein FAQ-Seite weiter geleitet. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht von dem Produkt.

Great open ear design to fit any ear size

I bought these primarily for running, so the open ear design allows a little ambient noise in which is helpful to hear road traffic, or race marshal instructions, whilst still maintaining excellent sound quality. I have small ears so always struggle with in-ear buds just being too big but these are very small and come with a really big selection of rubber fitment bands to secure into any ear size. I've been using these for over 2 years and never had any connection problems across three different phones. They always connect and always play in sync, without any breakup or distortion.

I really wanted to like these

I really liked the design and case on these open earbuds but I don't know if it's my ear shape or something else but I constantly have to readjust these in my ear for them to stay put no matter what size of the rubber loop I place on the buds. However, easily the worst part(and the reason I decided to return) is the touch controls. I've never had a pair of earbuds with more inconsistent touch controls. I spent multiple weeks hoping I would master the finger positioning and every time I thought I was getting the hang of it I would lose all control and be relegated to relentlessly fingering the earbud to no avail. Sometimes my earlobes would even activate them out of the blue. This really sucks as these earbuds are competitively priced with good sound quality and are so comfortable you can forget their in your ear but I just got worn down over time.

For optimum fit and comfort, it is recommended to wear both earbuds properly.
Keeping the software version of the LinkBuds up-to-date is recommended for optimum performance. The wide area tap is a function that detects vibration around the ears with the acceleration sensors that are built into the headset and determines the tap operations. Therefore, it may be erroneously detected as tapped by actions such as putting on or taking off surgical masks or glasses, and chewing. If the headset often does not operate correctly, this may be improved by using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app to turn wide area tap off and switch to headset tap instead.
Hint:
-In addition to tapping around your ear, tap operations are detected when you tap the headset unit.
-If the tap operations cannot be easily detected, tap a little harder while adjusting the tap position.
-When tapping the headset or the area near your ear 2 or 3 times, tap it quickly with an interval of about 0.2 seconds between taps.
-You can change the function assignments to the left and right headset units using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

J’ai acheté ces écouteurs WF-L900 en 2023 ils sont pratique à utiliser, tiennent bien dans les oreilles, sont confortables avec une bonne sonorité. De par leurs conception ces écouteurs permettent d’entendre les sons extérieur sans assistance électronique. Seul bémol l’autonomie ne dépasse pas 4 heures.

Ils font exactement ce dont on attend d'eux : on entend aussi bien son environnement que le son. Il faut un temps d'adaptation pour bien savoir les mettre en place. Seul bémol: la tenue aux oreilles est un peu légère, c'est très confortable mais ça exclut complètement l'usage en dynamique (vélo ou activité physique en extérieur). Le micro capte très bien la voix lors des appels.

I bought these as they came with 4 different size fittings which have proved to be invaluable for me They fit well are comfortable and I can wear them for long periods without any discomfort .Tgey charge quickly and it seems to last for hours The charging case is small easy to use and very easy to keep in a pocket or bag My only negative is the noise cancelling which isn’t as effective as I would have liked

I have my ear buds approximately two weeks now. I will say they do fit pretty well. I still have a slight issue with the right one not fitting perfectly but to be honest that is most likely my ear's fault and it hasn't popped out yet which is more than I can say for others I have bought. I will say that I have never spent a lot of money on ear buds or headphones before, probably the most I spent was £45 on a pair of headphones, so I cannot compare to the big names but these are by far the best I have bought. Great sound and the noise isolation is brilliant for my commute. They are light and feel comfortable. I would recommend.

Bought a few weeks ago. They fit my ears perfect with the large hooks, great sound, great features especially on the accompanying app. Equaliser etc all function perfectly. Very comfortable to wear and so lightweight you forget they're there. Would recommend them to others after headphones that let your ears breath and allow you to hear without passthrough.

Battery charging issues after less than 1 year,

Bought in April 23, within 3 months the buds charge would not last longer than 30 minutes, the case has now started draining when not in use, charge it fully, by the next morning it's critical already. Very poor!!!

The sound quality is decent considering these headphones have a different design than the rest of them. The features are good and work well and regularly get updated with new stuff. The update process is a nightmare on iOS tho. The major problem is the battery life and the repairability of these headphones. Removing or replacing the battery means a total destruction. I don't understand why Sony markets these as "eco-friendly" "recycled packaging" "recycled plastic", but they don't talk about the poor repairability. Mostly greenwashing in order to cut costs and deliver a poor product and a poor unboxing experience because everything is recycled. Reusing is better than recycling Sony!

Small & discreet with awareness of what's around you. Not for all but it caters to a wide range of people. Music plays then an innovative voice cut when someone calls then cleverly plays & resumes your music when your conversation ends.Settings are also great. Call quality good, music & media also great, charging very good especially the quick charge & the charging case very small & handy, fits in any pocket or bag.. The fit is great you hardly know your wearing them until it reminds you you have low battery. Overall another nice edition to the Sony audio line up but with a very clever design.

Die Reichweite, die Verbindungs-Qualität, die Akku-Laufzeit von Headsets und Ladeschale waren bei meinem Vorgänger-Modell besser. Sie erreichen nicht die in der Gebrauchs-Anleitung versprochenen Werte. Der Sitz im Ohr ist ungünstig, da man den guten Klang meistens nur gedämpft hört. Beim Schlucken habe ich einen klaren Klang, der dann gleichzeitig unangenehm laut geworden ist. Die Kompatibilität mit der App "Headphones" ist gut. Die adaptive Lautstärke-Anpassung ist allerdings langsam und kommt daher regelmäßig zu spät. Die Idee, die Headsets im Ohr festzuklemmen, finde ich gut, da ich Brillen-Träger bin. Die Oberfläche der Headsets und der Ladeschale verschmutzen kaum, flutschen einem dafür aber öfter unkontrolliert aus den Händen.

Love these but has battery issues

I have had these 2 years and I rarely use them anymore. I want to use them more but last year they started having a problem where the left ear bud would drain power in the charge case so I could only reliably use the right one. Now both earbuds have problems. The case and earbuds drain power constantly, so if I want to use them I have to charge the case an hour before I want to use it. Even then, I only get about 10 minutes of use out of the left earbud and about 45 minutes with the right earbud when listening to music If these didn't have the battery issues I would love them. I love the open ear design, the comfort, the microphone quality, but I regret paying almost $200 for them because of all the problems they have given me

Nice product... but battery dead at < 2 years old.

Bought in February 2022. Battery in right earbud was completely dead (not holding charge) by December 2023. So I sent them to Sony Central Servcie for repair but estimate was more than the cost of a new pair and only has a 30 day warranty. BUT, being able to properly hear sounds around you... nothing else is the same. I really like them. So much so that I have just bought another pair. I hope these last a bit longer.

Really Disappointing battery life

These were great for about 18 months. Suddenly they won't hold charge, the right one doesn't charge at all. Completely un useable now. My partners ones are having issues too. At this cost they need to last longer than 18 months or at least have an easy to replace battery.

This is by far THE worst headphones I have ever bought. One of the reasons for buying his was to replace a plantronics handsfree headset but it has been a total disaster! When using for phone calls, people simply can't hear you, even when the device has full charge! It has been a total waste of money for that reason. Please by iPODS instead. They don't disappoint and good luck with resetting your password for the Sony Account!!!

Issues after 8 months

It was working well for 8 months. I loved it. However, out of the blue, a strong wind noise appeared on the left bud, it doesn't matter if the noise cancelling feature is on or off. The noise persists. I tried cleaning it, it didn't work. It didn't get wet, not it fell on the floor.

A good open ear bud

After looking for a pair of open ear buds I looked at YouTube clips of these buds, on buying theses I was going to buy the shokz open ear buds but the sales representative talked me out of them and recommended the Sony's, so glad they did because the quality of the sound and build are great, the only downside is the battery life (which isn't great but will do the job).

Produit défectueux : le son du coté droit OK mais rien du coté gauche. Arriver sur le service après vente une horreur et une fois qu'on y est on a droit à une "débilité" artificielle, vous expliquer dans les détails ce que vous avez fait et quels en sont les résultats et cette débilité vous demande si vous avez résolu le problème

Super Kopfhörer für Umgebungsgeräusche

Pros: - Erfüllen super den Zweck, um Musik zu hören, jedoch die Umgebung immernoch wahrzunehmen - Audioqualität ist wie erwartet bei dieser offenen Bauweise - sehr bequem im Ohr und wackelt nicht. Das sind dier ersten In-Ear-Kopfhörer, die ich tragen kann! Die anderen Bauweisen saßen bei mir nie stabil im Ohr. Diese verwende ich jetzt auch beim Joggen Kontra: - die Bluetooth-Reichweite ist sehr kurz. Man muss sein Handy immer bei sich haben - Die Verbinding bricht ab und zu ab und man hört für eine Sekunde nur Krazgeräusche - mal links, dann rechts. Danach fangen sich die Kopfhörer wieder. Fazit: Wären dies reguläre In-Ear-Kopfhörer, hätte ich sie wegen den beschriebenen technischen Problemen wieder zurück gegeben. Für den Zweck Umgebungsgeräusche beim Musikhören mitzubekommen, sind sie jedoch super. Und weil sie auch noch so gut im Ohr sitzen, behalte ich sie gerne und empfehle sie auch weiter.

These feel great and sound great plus they don't block out your hearing. Excellent for that. Sometimes the connection breaks up and the stereo effect goes all wrong - easily sorted but irritating.

Ich finde das offene Konzept dieser Kopfhörer toll. Auch sitzen sie gut im Ohr, sind sehr bequem und haben einen guten Sound. Leider leider halten die Kopfhörer nicht lange. Nach nun 1,5 Jahren schicke ich sie zum zweiten Mal zur Reparatur. Der Akku des linken Kopfhörers hält nur noch 5 Minuten und schnarrt sehr unangenehm. So kann man nix mehr vernünftig hören. Vorher war es der andere Kopfhörer, der nicht mehr funktionierte. Schade, aber für diesen Preis hab ich wirklich ein qualitativ deutlich höherwertiges Produkt erwartet

J’ai acheté cet article par Sony au travers d’un mail commercial en novembre 2021 , celui ci ne tient pas la charge , possibilité d’écoute environ 15 minutes et ne sais pas où je peux adresser cet article en SAV , je n’achèterai plus aucun article Sony au travers d’un mail Sony.

Ich mochte die Kopfhörer wiklich gern. Hab beim Homeoffice, beim Radfahren oder Bein Einkaufen genutzt. Inzwischen ist das Verhalten im Bezug auf den Ladestand und Akkulaufzeit so eigenartig geworden, dass ich Kopfhörer als völlig unzuverlässig einstufen musste und sie jetzt eigentlich nur noch darauf warten dem Elektroschrott übergeben zu werden.
