Great features, easy to use sounds good

Bought for my summer car as a change from another well known brand. Very happy with Sony unit, it looks smart, plenty of features that you need, but not too many. Simple to set up to sound taste, it dosent have so many different sound settings so you dont know if you have made sound better or worse, its just simple and good. Unit looks smart, and feels better quality than my prevous other make unit. Music centre app works well, good DAB signal, display screen is nice and bright, and dims with side lights. My only criticism could be that the screen could maybe have been a bit bigger as there is spare space on the front, but its fine as it is and is clear and easy to see. Would have given 5 stars if screen was bigger. Happy with purchase and good value.

Nach 1,5 Jahren defekt, Reparatur unmöglich

Leider hat das eigentlich tolle Radio zum zweiten Mal einen Defekt: Nach einem Anruf schaltet es sich stumm und muss aus- und wieder eingeschaltet werden. Als Anruf gilt auch eine Navi-Ansage, die ja alle paar Sekunden kommen. Damit ist das Radio nicht als Musikgerät benutzbar. Aber es hat ja noch Garantie bzw. Gewährleistung. Doch die Computerstimme vom Sony Support sagte, die Reparatur würde "mehr kosten als ich für das Gerät bezahlt habe". Deshalb solle ich das Zubehör (Mikrofon und Antenne) aus dem Auto ausbauen lassen und zurückschicken, damit ich eine Erstattung erhalte. Das Zubehör ist fest eingebaut und abgesehen davon, dass ich das halbe Auto auseinandernehmen müsste, um es auszubauen: die Sachen gehen dabei kaputt. Das Radio ist aktuell sogar noch im Angebot, Sony könnte mir also problemlos ein Neugerät zur Verfügung stellen. Wollen sie aber anscheinend nicht. Möglicherweise haben alle Geräte dieser Serien denselben Defekt?

Really great, can't fault it

Bought this to fit in my classic Mini, to work with the Sony steering wheel remote control that I bought about 15 years ago. It works perfectly. I like the new "flat" look compared to older Sony headunits, and I like the big knob. Can do all sorts of colours, but I've set it to amber/amber to match the car's original fitment stereo. Seems to work quickly and effectively. The only thing I'd change is to make it non-removable (who steals car stereos nowadays??) and then use the added space to make the fascia fill the whole space (without the border). would look even neater then.

I brought a month ago very happy with it the bluetooth connection between the phone and the stereo can sometimes be quirky, and its a shame the app does not display a list of dab channels.
