After an unfortunate experience with the LA-EA3 (poor focusing speed and reliability in less than perfect light), I am utterly delighted with the LA-EA4 when used with my A7II. Yes, it steals one-third-of-a-stop of light due to the SLT translucent mirror, but this is no different to the Sony A99. Once fitted to the A7II, this light but sturdy adapter works flawlessly, providing fast, reliable PDAF just like the A99 - both for sonic-drive and screw-drive lenses. My Sony Zeiss, Tamron and Konica Minolta lenses all work perfectly with it, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Excellent product - highly recommended!

Für alle E-Mount-Kamerabesitzer, die den alten Stangen-AF von Minolta bzw. bestimmte Sony A-Mount-Objektive steuern möchten, empfehle ich den Sony LA-EA4. Er arbeitet präzise und die mittig angeordneten AF-Felder reichen völlig aus. Der neuere LA-EA5 kommt schlanker daher und hat – je nach Kameramodell – mehr AF-Punkte, jedoch sollte der Fotograf unbedingt die Sony-Kompatibilitätsliste vor dem Kauf studieren: https://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/cscs/accessories/?mdl=LA-EA5&area=gwt&lang=de_DE Beispiel: Sie besitzen eine Sony Alpha 7 (Mark I) und möchten z. B. ein SAL20F28 (mit Stangen-AF) steuern, dann ist der LA-EA4 meiner Meinung nach perfekt. Mit dem LA-EA3 bzw. dem modernen LA-EA5 hingegen steuern Sie bei älteren Sony-Modellen nur Objektive mit eingebautem Motor (SSM). Benutzen Sie die neueren Kameramodelle, wie die Sony Alpha 6600, A7RIV u. a., so ist die neueste LA-EA5-Variante formschöner und leichter. Für Sparfüchse und Leute, die an jeder Sony-E-Mount-Kamera verschiedenste A-Mount-Linsen bzw. Minolta-AF-Optiken steuern möchten, ist meine Empfehlung das Sony LA-EA4!

Habe den Adapter bereits geraume Zeit und er ist perfekt abgestimmt, um A Objektive am E System zu benutzen. Ich kann keine Nachteile, bis auf das Gewicht und die Größe, feststellen. Aber ist logisch, das eine kleine, leichte Kamera dadurch groß wird. Also kein echter Nachteil. Verarbeitung und Funktion perfekt.

Achetée pour utiliser avec AF mes objectifs en monture A sur mon nouveau Sony A1. Indiquée comme contenant un système AF autonome, A1 indiqué dans les produits compatibles et ... cette bague ne fonctionne pas en AF avec un A1, il faut la LA-EA5. Rien ne l'indique clairement sur la fiche produit. Très déçu !

Cette bague m'a permis de réutiliser mes optiques Minolta (hors zoom xi motorisé non compatible) en conservant le bénéfice de l'autofocus, qui est très réactif. Le produit est cher, mais efficace. Monté sur un Alpha 7 II.

Über diesen Adapter betreibe ich verschiedene Objektive mit unterschiedlichen Gewichten. Je schwerer das Objektiv, desto besser läßt es sich aufgrund der Bauform des Adapters handhaben. Die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit (auch mit älteren Konica-Minolta-Objektiven) ist sehr gut. AF ist sehr treffsicher.

I bought the LA-EA4 so I could use my old Minolta and Sony lenses with my a7iii. One lens is from my old Minolta Maxxum 7000i film camera, so it's a full frame, and the others were for my Minolta a7D, which are APS-C. All the lenses are about 15 to 30 years old. Sadly, I had several other lenses, along with my old Maxxum film camera, that didn't survive a typhoon in the Philippines a few years ago. The old lenses are fun to use with my a7iii, even if they don't utilize all of the camera's functionality. The Minolta lenses all focus quickly and precisely, even in low light. I do have a Sony 75-300mm lens that has to search for focus at mid to low light, or when there is little contrast in the subject. It's not as good of a lens as the others, so I wonder if that's why it struggles? The LA-EA4 is fun to have, but I'm not going to get rid of any of my FE lenses in favor of their A mount counterparts. Also, the adapter and my old lenses will probably spend most of their time in the closet rather than in my camera bag. That said, I'm not averse to buying additional A mount lenses should I have the opportunity.

Le produit me permet d'utiliser mes objectifs Sony A en attendant de renouveler mes objectifs en monture Sony E.Le produit est pratique, mais a tout de même quelques défauts. - Le prix est un peu élevé c'est pour cela que je l'ai acheté d'occasion. - Il est assez volumineux et alourdit fortement l'appareil et augmente son encombrement. En passant à l'hybride on recherche justement la légèreté et un petit encombrement. - On conserve l'autofocus, mais celui-ci est beaucoup plus lent et moins précis. - Il intègre un miroir comme dans les boitiers reflex du coup je n'ai plus l'impression d'utiliser un boitier hybride, mais un reflex. Ce produit et un produit de transition en attendant que vous achetiez des objectifs de type E et utiliser tout le potentiel de votre appareil.

I bought this from a friend to use my a6300 witha old minolta 80-200 2.8 and also a 50mm 1.7, later I bought an a7iii and had no problems with it, but after updating the a73 firmware to the version 2, every time I use this aadpater it messes with the sensibility of my shutter button, even when I change to another 3rd part lens I own (Sigma 105 art or Tamron 28-75) the shutter keeps working funny, I did a factory reset as well and tested the adapter and my tamron lens and problem was still there, it wasn't until I put my kit lens on the camera that something happened that the shutter button works as smooth as it has being always working before. hopefully this review help some one else before they send their camera for repair unnecessarily. not sure if there is a firmware update for this adapter but that might be a solution.

Im Gegensatz zum Adapter LA-EA3 der an meiner A7M2 etwas Spiel aufweist und wackelt, sitzt der neu gekaufte LA-EA4 sehr passgenau. Leider sind aber jetzt die Fokusfunktionen bei Sigma und Tamron Objektiven nur noch sehr eingeschränkt verfügbar. Für die Kameras A7M3 und RM3 gibt es diesbezüglich ein Software Update. Warum nicht für die A7M2? Muss also doch wieder auf den alten LA-EA3 zurückgreifen und den neuen Adapter für die nächste Kamera aufheben, schade eigentlich.

Aucun des mes 10 objectifs Konica/Minolta D ne pose de problème sur A7R-III. Les images au format RAW sont parfaites avec évidemment les légers défauts d'origine connus et inhérents des deux zooms. L'autofocus est rapide et précis y compris en rafale sur des sujets en mouvement. Le surpoids et le surcroît d'encombrement s'oublient vite et sont plus que largement compensés par la qualité et l'efficacité des résultats. Cerise sur le gâteau la plupart des combinaisons boîtiers A7 - objectifs Konica/Minolta D sont pris en charge par Dx0 Photolab 2 Bravo et merci à Sony

Um die A 7II und die A 77II mit dem selben Objektiven zu verwenden ist der Adapter sehr gut geeignet. Leider funktionieren nicht alle AF-Möglichkeiten. Einen großen Lichtabfall kann ich nicht feststellen. Bis ein lichtstarkes E-Mount Teleobjektiv bei mir einzieht ist der Adapter eine prima Zwischenlösung.

Der Adapter funktioniert sehr gut an meiner A6500, allerdings nur mit Sony Objektiven. Anscheinend erkennt die Kamera aber nicht eine Reihe von Fremdhersteller-Objektiven, unter anderem mein Lieblings-Tele-Objektiv von Tamron, das problemlos an der A550 funktioniert, hier aber nur manuell zu bedienen ist (keine gute Option bei Sport-Serien-Aufnahmen). Dafür kann der Adapter nichts, aber Sony mit der Kamera-Software um so mehr.

Après avoir fait l'acquisition de la petite soeur LA-EA3, j'ai souhaité obtenir cette bague LA-EA4 pour l'utiliser sur mon A7 avec un objectif Tamron 70-300. Premier constat la bague bouge un peu en rotation côté boitier mais ne perturbe pas l'utilisation. Le SAV Sony n'a pas vraiment répondu à mon interrogation sur le sujet ! L'autofocus fonctionne à merveille et il est très réactif, rien à voir avec la bague LA-EA3....Je suis très satisfait de mon achat car il ouvre notamment des voies à un autre parc d'objectifs. Poursuite des essais dès que je trouve les vieux cailloux qui vont bien ! Bonne journée

This is a really high quality lens adapter product that enables me to use older Sony or Minolta A mount screw drive lens on my A7RMK3 camera. Even though these lens are over 20 years old they are of outstanding optical performance so I didn't wish to throw them away and this adapter has allowed continued use with my new Alpha series camera. Focus speed is excellent on my 20mm f2.8, 100mm f2.8 Macro and 80-200mm f2.8 High Speed APO, oh and 50mm f1.8. I understand that the LA-EA3 is also very useful if you have any SAM or SSM lens products as these can actually take advantage of the faster phase detect AF function, which the LA-EA4 can't.

Überall liest man, dass die Objektive mit dem Adapter langsam reagieren. Es mag sein, dass es bei Serienbildern zu Problemen kommt. Das habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert. Für die "normale" Fotografie reagiert der Adapter sehr schnell. Das einzige, was ich mich fragen ,muss ist, ob meine alten Objektive gut genug für meine A7II sind. Das habe ich noch nicht endgültig raus. Der Adapter arbeitet mit SSM oder Stange einwandfrei.

Je suis trop heureux, j'ai pu réutiliser mon 35/135 vieux Tamron de plus 25 ans. Incroyable je l'ai branché fébrile et ça fonctionne du premier coup les photos sont très nette et les couleurs conformes . Dommage que les objectifs Sony en monture E soit aussi cher . J'ai cassé ma tirelire pour le 55 en 1.8. Heureusement cet adaptateur ouvre des perspectives sur du Sigma très intéressante.

Este compatibil cu obiectivele mele pe montura A,respectiv 50 mm f1,4 ;24-70mm f2,8 ;precum și 70-200 mm f 2.8. Singurul inconvenient este ca nu pot folosi funcția eye -af de care dispune Sony A7!

I have tried this adapter with six different A mount lenses on my a6000 camera. The autofocus works as fast as it did when these were connected to my a77 Sony camera. The Sigma lenses I tried have the advantage of also having optical stabilisation which the Sony A mount lenses don't. However they all work very well (Sony, Sigma and Tamron)

After an unfortunate experience with the LA-EA3 (poor focusing speed and reliability in less than perfect light), I am utterly delighted with the LA-EA4 when used with my A7II. Yes, it steals one-third-of-a-stop of light due to the SLT translucent mirror, but this is no different to the Sony A99. Once fitted to the A7II, this light but sturdy adapter works flawlessly, providing fast, reliable PDAF just like the A99 - both for sonic-drive and screw-drive lenses. My Sony Zeiss, Tamron and Konica Minolta lenses all work perfectly with it, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Excellent product - highly recommended!

Ich habe den Objektivadapter vor etwa einen Monat gekauft, um meine Alpha Objektive am E-Mount Bajonet meiner neuen Alpha 6000 zu verwenden und bin von der hervorragenden Qualität der Bilder überrascht. Sowohl Macro- als auch Teleobjektiv (von Sony und Sigma) liefern Fotos, deren Qualität in nichts hinter den mit der Alpha77 gemachten Fotos zurückstehen. Auch der Autofokus funktioniert tadellos und schnell

Ich habe diesen Adapter seit 2 Monaten im Einsatz und er funktioniert sehr gut, auch wenn das eingebaute AF-System nicht mit dem meiner A6000 mithalten kann ist es dennoch flott und treffsicher, der LA-EA4 tut das was er soll und das ausgesprochen gut, ich kann alle (Fremdhersteller, Minolta und Sony) A-Mount - Linsen benutzen!

I bought this adapter 4 weeks ago although it works upto now well enough in hind sight should have forgotten the legacy glass and gone with the Metabones adapter for nikon or canon lenses more variety of glass and a lot cheaper than Sony glass. The LA EA4 Adapter because of the mirror you lose 30% of the incoming light which needless to say is not good for low light situations.

Funktioniert mit allen Sigma, Sony- und Tokina-Objektiven. Einziger Nachteil ist der Ueberstand nach unten so dass die a7ii keine Ebene Auflagefläche mehr hat und daher immer nach vorne kippt.

Ich habe den LA-EA4 für meine vorhandenen Sony, Minolta und Tamron Objektive gekauft, die ich bisher an der A57 genutzt habe. Der Adapter hat eine gute Qualität und passt perfekt. Autofokus funktioniert auf gleichem Niveau, wie bei der A57, ich nutze allerdings ausschließlich den Spot-Autofokus. Mich stört lediglich, dass der Adapter sehr groß ist. Sicherlich wäre es möglich gewesen, den Adapter besser an das Design der A7 anzupassen. So empfinde ich das Ding immer als Fremdkörper.

Um meine A-Mount Objektive an der neuen A6000 nutzen zu könnn,habe ich mich entschlossen den LA-EA4 mir zuzulegen. Wenn man weiss,dass in der Kombination kein Stabilisierungsmodus verfügbar ist (A-Mount Objektive und A6000 Gehäuse haben das ja nicht), und man sich auf die gute alte ruhige Hand von der Zeit vor der Digitalfotographie besinnt,klappt die Kombination bestens. Bin sehr zufrieden damit.

Ich betreibe den Adapter an einer Sony Alpha 6000, und er funktioniert bestens, ob mit dem Sigma 18-35, oder mit dem Tamron 17-50. Auch mit einem Tamron 70-300 gibt es keine Probleme. Der Preis ist zwar happig für einen Adapter, aber er funktioniert.

I'm a serious hobby photographer. I bought this three weeks ago to make use of the full frame zoom lenses I had inherited from my father (who had a minolta dynax 35mm camera). I have two voigtlander primes (15 and 40mm) - manual focus- which I use for essentially stationary subjects. I wanted the LA-EA4 so that I could use my autofocus zooms. I can now concentrate on moving subjects if I wish. It works a treat and adds a different flavour to a days shooting. I'm loving it I've not uploaded any pictures but I feel that the adapter gets the most out of any attached lenses - it does a remarkably crisp job of focusing...
