Having been an avid Nikon user for years (last was Z7II), I finally took the plunge and changed to the Sony A7V...... It does not disappoint, from easy to use menu's and customisable buttons, I was up and running straight away. The focus system is second to none, I now realise I should have changed years ago. Well done Sony.

The new a7V is not able to keep the date and time. The Tracking Area spots place the tracking area box in random spots, ignoring both joystick direction and subject detection. Yes, I am using it in AF-C mode. It seems to work slightly better with subject detect turned off, but from my understanding, it is supposed to work with subject detect. Having said this, when the camera does catch the subject its directed on, the photo quality is amazing. I may be completely revising this review if I can get in touch with Sony to find a solution for these problems. But also, when spending that much money on a camera, shouldn't it work flawlessly out of the box?

Ein Flagschiff im Bereich der Sony Vollformatkameras. Sie erfüllt all meine Erwartungen und spielt in der oberen Liga mit. Der super schnelle und sehr präzise Autofokus sind hervorragend. Eine Kamera, die professionellen Ansprüchen genügt und (fast) keine Wünsche offen lässt. Es gibt noch wesentlich mehr positive Eigenschaften, die diese Kamera auszeichnen.

I purchased the A7V about three weeks ago, upgrading trom A7iv, the difference is quite amazing, I recently have become interested in butterfly photography and have been trying uncessfully to photograph butterflies in flight, but since having the A7V I have now have quite a success rate using the pre capture and 30fps, image quality is significantly better, so yes glad I upgraded.

Excellent camera, have done 2 studio shoots so far and have yet to find anything that needs improvement. I have the A7IV and thats also a great camera but the A7V is certainly better. Auto focus is amazingly quick, images with the 24-70 GM lens are tack sharp I had a mess around with the 30 FPS electronic shutter with pre-capture, the results were excellent and with practise and the right settings I have no doubt could be improved a lot further.

Le Sony Alpha 7V est un boîtier qui inspire immédiatement confiance. J’apprécie particulièrement sa réactivité, sa qualité d’image et la sensation de précision qu’il dégage à l’usage. C’est un appareil agréable à prendre en main, capable de suivre un rythme de travail soutenu tout en restant fiable et intuitif. Ce que j’aime beaucoup, c’est sa polyvalence : il permet d’être aussi à l’aise sur des photos d’action que sur des portraits ou des scènes de vie plus calmes. L’autofocus est un vrai point fort, tout comme la netteté et le rendu général, qui donnent des fichiers très solides à travailler ensuite. Pour moi, le Sony Alpha 7V s’inscrit vraiment dans cette idée d’un boîtier pensé pour accompagner le photographe dans des situations variées, avec sérieux et efficacité. C’est un appareil qui donne envie de créer, et qui confirme encore une fois la qualité du savoir-faire Sony.

Upgraded from A7III and from a photography perspective I am left underwhelmed. Even in good light the photo rendering isn’t very sharp or clean. Hardly noticeable difference with the 8 year old A73. Video updates are good, screen it better but other than that I would have stuck to the A73 which is only a fraction slower and image quality nearly identical.

Très bon AF, mais déçu par le stabilisateur photo et vidéo. Toujours compliqué de naviguer dans les menus 1) mal traduits en Français et 2) pas ergonomique. Par rapport à l'a7IV, j'ai perdu la possibilité de créer des raw à mi-résolution -> obligé de garder des raw de 33Mpx, alors qu'avec l'a7IV je pouvais avoir des raw de 14Mpx. Bref. Dommage de perdre des possibilités de réglages quand on upgrade son matériel. Le manuel FR est toujours aussi mal conçu, contrairement à Nikon qui était plus pédagogique. Et enfin, Sony a limité le nombre de photos en rafale pour les objectifs non-Sony : c'est un choix DEPLORABLE. Mais je continuerai d'utiliser mon Tamron 28-75mm F2.8

Ich fotografiere Hochzeiten und habe die A7V vor wenigen Wochen als Ersatz für meine A7IV angeschafft. Sie ist in fast jeder Hinsicht (Bildqualität keine Unterschiede bemerkbar) besser. Der Autofokus arbeitet sogar schneller und präziser als bei meiner A7RV. Die Serienfunktion mit 30 Bps (nur mit Sony Objektiv) habe ich schon ein paarmal genutzt und bin wirklich begeistert. Allerdings ist hier wie auch schon in der A7RV eine CF Express Karte von Vorteil. Der von der A7RV übernommene Bildschirm ist extrem nützlich. Alles in allem ein tolles Upgrade von der A7IV und ich kann die Kamera uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Ein großartiges Werkzeug!

Wanted a camera to replace my A9II for speed and better resolution. The A7V is faster at 30fps and with PreCapture has been a revelation for my wildlife and particularly birds in flight photography. The sensor readout is faster enough and it’s nice to have 33 mp vs 24MP for a bit more cropability! The focussing is better than anything I have used before & I can only agree with many reviewers who say this is nearly as fast as the A1ii & A9iii cameras! Overall a brilliantly camera for my needs and a great companion to my A7RV which I love for its resolution. I would love to try the A7RVI & I’m sure it is amazing but these two cameras give me what I need & share batteries and battery grip. Also I think 68mp at 30fps might me a little too challenging for my computer and storage management when the 33MP gives me a sweet spot. I’m a stills shooter so can’t comment on the video aspects. PreCapture is amazing & so grateful that Sony added it to this camera!

J'en suis à ma quatrième version de cet appareil, dont j'ai, toujours été très content. Mais cette version à un gros problème, la connectivité a été changé et il semble impossible de connecter une télécommande filaire avec blocage. J'ai, aussi, une rotule astronomique et un Miops quine semblent plus pouvoir être connectés... Je me sens un peu laissé à l'abandon... Personne pour répondre à ce besoin.

Une excellente surprise après un bon paramétrage ! Note : 9.5/10 Je suis agréablement surpris par ce boîtier. Certes, il demande un certain temps d'adaptation, mais après avoir pris le temps de bien le paramétrer et d'assigner les fonctions nécessaires aux touches personnalisées et aux banques de mémoire, il se révèle redoutable d'efficacité. J'ai testé l'ensemble avec le FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II, et le résultat est sans appel : les images sont d'une très grande qualité, le piqué est au rendez-vous et le couple boîtier/objectif fonctionne à merveille. Un excellent choix pour qui accepte de se plonger un peu dans les menus pour en tirer le plein potentiel !

30 Bilder/s und Pre-Capturing sind für mich die Game-Changer. Der automatische Weißabgleich ist auch deutlich besser als bei der Alpha 7 IV. Der KI-Autofokus hat noch Luft nach oben, wenn das Objekt erst mal erkannt wurde, funktioniert die Verfolgung aber sehr gut.

Ich glaube hier beginnt eine neue Liebe. Die Schärfe ist beeindruckend (20-70mm f4) habe mit Canon Analog bis Digital angefangen dann kam Nikon D750 Panzer dazu. Da ich zunehmend in die Makrowelt eintauche war die Entscheidung zwischen OM-System oder was anderes echt schwer, da ich vom OM- System kostenlos für 5 Tage die OM1 Mii + Objektive + Blitz testen durfte sprang irgendwie der Funke nicht über. Dann kam der Tag „ Fototage in Waren“ mit den Ausstellern am Stand SONY sprang der Funke dann über. Am gleichen Tag konnte ich über AC-Foto meine neue Liebe A7v mitnehmen 🤗

I’ve been really impressed with the image quality from this camera. The level of detail is excellent, especially in well-focused shots—the sharp flower image shows great clarity and color accuracy. The background blur (bokeh) is very smooth and natural, which makes subjects stand out nicely. Low-light performance is also strong. The sunset shots retain good color and dynamic range, although shadows can get quite dark if not adjusted. Autofocus seems very capable when it locks correctly, but as seen in a couple of my flower shots, it can miss focus occasionally, especially with shallow depth of field. Overall, it’s a powerful and versatile camera that delivers professional-looking results, particularly for close-up and outdoor photography. With a bit of practice to master focus and settings, it performs exceptionally well.

Bisher habe ich mit der Sony a7 IV fotografiert und mir die Frage gestellt ob und wann es einen Nachfolger geben wird ? denn es gab einige Dinge die bei der a7 IV Verbesserungwürdig sind , z.B. der langsame Autofokuss , die fehlende Pre-Capture Einstellung und einiges mehr. All das wurde mit der a7 v behoben , somit habe ich mit der a7 v die perfekte Kamera gefunden , für mich natürlich.

Ich hatte vorher die Alpha 7r V und war zufrieden. Was mich gestört hat, war das Gewicht und die einfach sehr großen Dateien. Ich habe mich deshalb entschieden, die r V zu verkaufen und auf die 7 V umzusteigen. Ich habe sie jetzt 3 Wochen und bin schlicht begeistert. Der Autofokus ist noch schneller und vor allem die Motiverkennung ist der Hammer. Ich bin gespannt, was ich noch alles entdecke, was mich begeistert.

Sony ILCE-a7M5 E-mount is a huge step up from where I was with a Panasonic DMC-G-80 and I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to manage such a new and powerful camera without significant help. How wrong I was, it’s intuitive, user friendly and a joy…so far!

I have upgrade from the a7lll to this a7v and it's a massive upgrade. I'm 99% photographer and my video once or twice a year. The images coming out of the Sony a7v are spectacular. Focus is these days on another level and the a7v is so quick to focus and once grabs the subject doesn't let go. The partially stacked sensor and 30fps blackout free is incredible, although I find myself shotting 20fps and using boost function if I want 30fps. Pre-capture too looks good and looking forward for a chance to putting this feature to the test. I have the Sony 200-600mm lens attached mainly for wildlife and as you can see by my photographs it's a fantastic combination.

Ich habe die neue Kamera nun etwa drei Wochen und bin begeistert. Da ich keine 30 Auslösungen pro Sekunde benötige, ist es mir eigentlich egal das hier die Leistung bei Drittherstellern auf 15 reduziert wird. Wer das unbedingt braucht, sollte ein Sony Objektiv verwenden. Das Klappdisplay ist ausgezeichnet. und der Fokus....ich bin begeistert. Von mir persönlich daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

L’appareil a évolué sur bien des points. Pour un amateur averti il n’a plus vraiment de point faible . Les trois points les plus appréciables à mon sens, l’autonomie de la batterie vraiment confortable, le déclenchement électronique désormais pleinement exploitable très rapide en fréquence et en vitesse 1/16000 et enfin l’AF et le systême de pré capture très impressionnant même avec des optiques tierces 15 images / s est déjà très appréciable.

Als langjähriger Nutzer der Sony A7III bin ich auf die A7V umgestiegen und bin rundum begeistert. Der blitzschnelle Autofokus zusammen mit dem Precapture Feature hilft mir enorm bei der Wildlife Fotografie. Auch die Bildqualität bei hoher ISO ist beeindruckend. Selbst bei ISO 12800 erhält man noch recht gut detaillierte Bilder. Die Kamera ist absolut empfehlenswert. Was ich mir beim nächsten Update noch wünschen würde ist die Möglichkeit von Mehrfachbelichtungen und fertig zusammengerechnete Fotos von Fokusreihenaufnahmen.

Die Sony A75 ist klasse! Ich glaube ich muss etwas ausholen. Ursprünglich war ich ein Freund von Canon Kameras allerdings hatte ich mit dem Spiegelauslöser so meine Probleme, da ich eine unruhig Hand habe. 2019 bin ich dann zur Sony A7 III gewechselt, eine super Kamera, meine unruhige Hand wurde perfekt ausgegelichen und ich benutze sie auch heute noch gerne. Die Bilder sind einfach super und die Fehlfokusierung hat sich auf unter 10 Prozent zu 70% vorher bei der Spiegelauslösung reduziert. Zur neuen Generation Sony A7 V bin ich gewechselt, da ich bereits über 200.000 Auslösungen auf der A7III hatte und am überlegen war nochmals eine A7 III zu kaufen. Der Verkäufer meines Lieblings Fotofachgeschäfts am Dom in Köln riet mir aber auf die A7 V zu wechseln. Und ich muss sagen, danke für den Rat. Die A7 V macht weiterhin nur Bilder, aber wie ich jetzt festgestellt hatte, bei mir im Studio war kein einziges unscharf oder hatte einen Fehlfokus. Mein subjektiver Eindruck ist. dass die Farben prächtiger sind und die Schärfe um einiges besser. Ich sollte noch dazu sagen, ich fotografiere Mode in meinem Fotostudio in Kerpen.

Kamera top, aber dass es knapp 3 Monate nach Release immer noch kein vollständiges Profil für Adobe Lightroom gibt, ist extrem enttäuschend :-(. Den 5. Stern gibt's wenn man die aufgenommenen Fotos (RAWs) auch endlich vernünftig verarbeiten kann.

vielen Dank für dein Feedback zur ILCE-7M5. Es freut uns sehr, dass dich die Kamera selbst überzeugen konnte.
Wir verstehen jedoch deine Enttäuschung bezüglich der RAW-Unterstützung in Adobe Lightroom. RAW-Dateien werden gemeinsam mit jeder neuen Kamerageneration weiterentwickelt, wodurch sich das Dateiformat technisch von älteren Modellen unterscheidet.
Wenn Lightroom oder andere Programme wie Adobe Photoshop oder Capture One die Dateien noch nicht vollständig unterstützen, liegt dies in der Regel daran, dass der jeweilige Softwareanbieter noch ein entsprechendes Update oder Profil bereitstellt. Wir empfehlen daher, die Software regelmäßig zu aktualisieren und die Update-Hinweise des Herstellers zu prüfen.
Als Alternative kannst du vorübergehend Imaging Edge Desktop nutzen. Diese Anwendung integriert die Funktionen „Remote“, „Viewer“ und „Edit“ und ermöglicht das Anzeigen sowie Entwickeln von RAW-Dateien mit aktueller Unterstützung. Weitere Informationen findest du hier: https://cutt.ly/stRpyTXw

Pour compléter mon fidèle Sony a7R II

J'ai craqué pour ce bel appareil afin de compléter mon fidèle Sony a7R II, acheté fin 2015. J'ai énormément utilisé ce dernier, au point de devoir changer le grip arrière, avec la porte de l'emplacement de carte SD. Mon a7R II marche toujours à merveille, mais son autofocus en basse lumière laisse à désirer. J'avais depuis un moment en tête l'achat du Sony a7 V, dont la sortie s'est fait attendre de longs mois. Je ne regrette pas d'avoir patienté, il est génial.

Hallo, ich habe die Kamera gestern gekauft. Im Vorfeld habe ich mir mehrere Tutorials angeschaut und ich muß sagen was versprochen wurde hält sie bis jetzt auch. Gegen die A7 IV ist das schon ein guter Sprung nach oben.

Ich habe die Kamera vor etwa 10 Tagen erhalten. Zuerst einmal war die Lieferung wirklich zügig und sogar früher als geplant. Da war ich schon das erste Mal positiv überrascht. Als ich das gute Stück dann endlich auspacken durfte, war es… ja als würde ich den heiligen Gral in der Hand halten. Ich hatte als Vorgänger die A73… ein Quantensprung in Sachen Performance und Qualität. Ich bereue nicht eine Sekunde diesen Kauf. Die Schnelligkeit.. die Features wie Pre Capture und alleine das Tracking ist echt extrem Gut! Ich kann absolut jedem empfehlen dieses Upgrade zu machen. Ist für mich wie eine kleine Baby A1 II. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Ich bin ein SONY Alpha 7 Fan. Gestartet habe ich der mit der "Alpha 7", dann kam die "Alpha 7 III" und jetzt die "Alpha 7 V". Ich kann nichts bemängeln und habe mich mit der neuen Kamera schnell schnell zurechtgefunden.. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die neue Menü-Führung. Ich musste erstmal die Gebrauchsanleitung herunterladen und mich an die neuen Begriffe gewöhnen. Nachdem ich jetzt alle meine Einstellungen gefunden habe, kann ich die Kamera wie gewohnt benutzen.

Seit 4 Wochen bin ich stolze Besitzerin der Sony a7 V und habe den Kauf keine Sekunde bereut. Ich komme sehr gut mit der Menüführung und den Einstellungen zurecht. Ausschlaggebend war für mit das in alle Richtung schwenkbare Display, welches ich bei meiner vorherigen Kamera sehr vermißt habe. Auch freue ich mich besonders, dass die PreCapture-Funktion möglich ist. Der Autofokus funktioniert perfekt, die Bildqualität ist hervorragend, der 33 Megapixel-Sensor vollkommen ausreichend. Ebenso paßt der Akku der Vorgängermodelle a7 III und a 7 IV in diese Kamera, so dass ich keine neuen kaufen mußte. Auch liegt die a 7 V dank der Gummierung und einer Einkerbung für den Mittelfinger sehr gut in der Hand.
