It’s still early days but I can confidently say that trading in my bulky DSLR kit for the RX100 has proved to be the right call. So far, the Sony has given me the same control and flexibility in a camera I can genuinely in a jeans pocket and I’m starting to explore the additional features that come with the RX100.

Leider sehr verwirrende Menüs, nicht einmal korrekt nach Kamera und Video getrennt, kenn ich von den Panasonic TZxx anders. Verwirrende Einstellungen und vieles schwer zu finden. Bspw. Trotz AF-S eingestellt, wie im Netz empfohlen, wird immer trotzdem ausgelöst, auch wenn Fokus nicht vorhanden. Fiinde die gegoogelten AF-Fokus Einstelleungen dafür nicht. Akkus zu klein und schwach. Laden 2026! mit USB nicht möglich, habe die RX100VIIA Version, leider. U.v.a. Keinerlei Firmwareupdates, seit 7J. noch V1.0!

Es tut uns leid zu hören, dass die Handhabung und Menüführung der Kamera deine Erwartungen nicht erfüllen und dir die Bedienung dadurch erschwert wird.
Bezüglich des Auslösens ohne Scharfstellung kannst du im Menü unter den Autofokus-Einstellungen die Prioritätseinstellung bei AF-S von [Auslöser] auf [AF] umstellen. Dadurch wird die Fokussierung gegenüber der Auslösung priorisiert.

Had the camera for just under a month now, with one proper trip out to a wildlife park, where the camera performed really well in 34 degree heat The limitation of a 200mm zoom was expected, and easily compensated for, by sticking with the closer animals, for which the camera was superb Focus locked on quickly, eye auto worked and kept the focus The virefinder set this apart from most compacts, as it is essential in bright sunlight The only change I would make would be to have the recall settings on the dial, or on a custom button, as switching on the fly is not easy This camera easily fits into my stable and will be used for all light visits to towns, farms etc

I've had my eye on a small compact for ages and finally decided on the Sony RX100 VII after getting hands on at The Wales & West Photography show two weeks ago. What an amazing little camera. It totally surpassed my expectations. Superb image quality and functions such as auto focus and auto exposure excel too. In addition to the monitor it has an excellent bright pop up viewfinder, an absolute must for me. Build quality is second to none and it oozes quality in the hand. For such a small camera it really does out perform itself and for image quality it genuinely competes with many full frame mirrorless cameras. Still experimenting with all the features but so far verdict is excellent!

Impossible de charger la batterie via cable USB

Suite au vol de mon RX100 VII, je viens de racheter de nouveau ce modèle Impossible de charger la batterie via le cable USB, alors que je le faisais avec le précédent... Obligation d'emmener au risque de le perdre le chargeur et surtout chaque fois dévisser la pochette en cuir de protection. Démarche chez mon vendeur sur Annecy qui lui non plus ne comprend pas pourquoi on ne peut plus charger directement via cable USB Aucune réponse à ce jour, aucune solution proposée

Eine sehr gute Reisekamera, die das Beste aus dem Kompromiss des geringen Baumaßes macht. Der Sensor ist bauartbedingt nur 1”groß - die Bildqualität jedoch wesentlich besser, als die eines Smartphones. Was nicht ganz so schön ist, ist die veraltete Übertragungssoftware-App (in dem Fall in Apple Fotos) und das unübersichtliche Menü. Hier wäre es wünschenswert, wenn die Kamera noch einmal ein vernünftiges Softwareupdate erhalten würde, und dann auch die neue Übertragungsapp funktionieren würde.

Concernant les photos bruitées au dessus de ISO 400., c'est normal, car le capteur de cet appareil est petit et capte peu de lumière, ce qui limite le bruit aux sensibilités ISO supérieures à 400.
Vous pouvez essayer de prendre des photos plus lumineuses ou de photographier en RAW et de les retoucher avec un logiciel de post-traitement pour réduire le bruit.
Vous pouvez également utiliser l'ISO automatique.

I bought this camera ahead of a holiday with my father as I wanted to be a bit more intentional with the photos and memories from trip. I'd class myself as an amateur when it comes to photography but the abilities of this camera helped bridge that gap - I have some great images now that seem to have more life than those I achieve on my phone camera. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to get into photography, I thought the price was high until I researched a little more and realised this camera will support me as I grow in skill over a long time. Its size makes it perfect for almost all situations and I've been using it a lot. It's pretty much replaced my phone camera and I'm really happy with the results.

(Fast) Perfekte kleine Kamera, die eigentlich alles mitbringt, was man sich bei einer "Immer-dabei-Kamera" wünscht. Der kleine separat erhältliche Handgriff ist ein ein "Muss". Tolle Bildqualität für so ein kleines Ding. Manko: Akku leider nur in der mitgelieferten Ladestation aufladbar, und kein USB-C Anschluss vorhanden.

Très déçu de la politique commerciale de Sony ! L'appareil est livré sans chargeur, alors qu'il est indiqué livré avec sur la notice trouvée sur internet. A la place il y a un support pour mettre la batterie et un câble USB pour la relier à un chargeur non fourni ! C'est lamentable. De même le câble USB fourni ne permet pas de charger la batterie en la laissant dans l'appareil, comme indiqué sur la notice en activant la fonction "alimentation USB on". Le câble fourni n'est pas adapté ! Sony se moque vraiment des ses clients. J'avais un appareil photo Sony beaucoup plus modeste mais le chargeur était fourni et le câble permet de charger l'appareil sans sortir la batterie. Où est le progrès ? A ce niveau de prix ces lacunes sont insupportables. Même et d'autant plus que les qualités de l'appareil ne sont pas en cause et que je les apprécie. Quel dommage de tout gâcher pour économiser quelques dizaine d'euros.

I bought this to replace my mirrorless Z6 on trips and to have a camera available at all times. I love using it , but found the Sony stup and menus very difficult to use after using Nikon for so long.I tried the silicone case but found it too difficult to activate buttons.It should come with the handgrip already fitted ,not as an add on. The EVF is very clear and bright and nevessary in sunny shooting conditions. A very useful piece of gear to my usual dslr/ mirrorless inventory.

Supertolle Kamera - aber ärgerliches Marketingfoul

Wichtig ist für mich 1. der Sucher, der funktioniert. 2. das abklappbare Display, damit kann ich über die Köpfe von anderen Touris fotografieren. 3. GPS. Ist leider nicht eingebaut, die Verbindung mit dem Smartphone funktioniert aber besser als bei meiner FZ1000-2. Sehr verwundert hat mich, dass an der Kamera das Laden mit mikroUSB deaktiviert wurde, das mitgelieferte Ladegerät aber auch mikroUSB und nicht USB C hat. Damdit wird die Idee der EU-Verordnung auf Kosten der Kunden ad absurdum geführt. Für diesen Blödsinn ziehe ich 2 Sterne ab.

Sony RX100 acheté pour prendre la suite d'un Canon G7X. Mon choix est essentiellement basé sur les 3 critères suivants : - étendue de la plage du zoom, - présence d'un viseur qui compense la difficulté de viser sur l'écran par fort éclairage ou grand soleil, - qualité des images produites. Remarques suite à la prise en main et aux premières prises de vue : - je commence toujours par découvrir les personnalisations offertes en explorant la totalité des menus dont je trouve l'organisation très peu pratique. - la disposition et la sensibilité des boutons sont telles que beaucoup d'erreurs sont commises par leur proximité et leur taille. Au total, l'ergonomie présente des points faibles pour un appareil offrant tant de possibilités et c'est peut-être là la difficulté. Dernier point et non des moindres concernant l'ergonomie, la petitesse de grip arrière combinée à l'absence de grip avant côté droit en fait un appareil impossible à utiliser sans ce grip à l'avant qu'il serait nettement préférable de fournir et déjà en place. J'espérais qu'arrivant à la 7ème version de cet appareil, les 3 derniers points pourtant bien connus et signalés de longue date auraient été réglés.

Nach dem Kauf durfe die Kamera mich direkt auf eine Lofoten Reise begleiten als Ergänzung zu meiner Sony Alpha 7 R III. Die Kamera hat es mir ermöglicht viele Schnappschüsse und kurze Videosequenzen einzufangen, weil sie immer griffbereit war. Ich bin begeistert von der Leistungsfähigkeit und der kompakten Bauweise.

Für den Preis hätte ich mehr erwartet. Mein Google Handy verarbeitet die Farben realistischer als diese 1000€ Kamera. Standardeinstellungen und besonders die Szenenauswahl ist unbrauchbar. RAW Bilder außen vor. Rauschverhalten könnte für den Preis auch besser sein. Objektiv ist doch relativ lichtschwach ... OK, das wusste man ja anhand der technischen Angaben schon vor dem Kauf. Die Kameraabmessungen sind schon ein clou - top ! Bildqualität höchstens Note 2 und nicht, wie in einigen Tests sehr gut.

Die Kamera ist darauf ausgelegt, Farben natürlich und realitätsgetreu einzufangen, während Smartphones oft eine starke automatische Nachbearbeitung nutzen. Über den „Kreativen Modus“ kannst du Farbsättigung und Kontraste individuell anpassen, um ein lebendigeres Ergebnis direkt aus der Kamera zu erhalten. Für ein besseres Rauschverhalten empfehlen wir, den Modus P oder A zu nutzen und die maximale ISO-Einstellung zu begrenzen. Bezüglich der Verbindung zu deinem iPhone möchten wir dir ein paar Hinweise geben:
• Stelle sicher, dass sowohl die Kamera-Firmware als auch die Imaging Edge Mobile App auf dem neuesten Stand sind.
• Bei iOS-Geräten ist es wichtig, in den iPhone-Einstellungen manuell das Wi-Fi-Netzwerk (SSID) der Kamera auszuwählen, falls die automatische Verbindung fehlschlägt.
• Prüfe, dass der Flugzeugmodus auf beiden Geräten deaktiviert ist.
• Sollte es weiterhin nicht funktionieren, kann ein Zurücksetzen der Netzwerkeinstellungen an der Kamera oft Abhilfe schaffen.

Diese Kamera soll meine vorhandene Vollformatkamera ergänzen und als täglicher Begleiter immer dabei sein. Trotz der guten Fotoeigenschaften meines Handy habe ich doch einige wichtige Funktionen am Handy vermisst. Der große Zoombereich, die Kompaktheit und der sehr gute Autofokus der Sony haben mich in meiner Kaufentscheidung geleitet. Ich würde mir bei der Weiterentwicklung eine etwas höhere Lichtstärke des Objektives, eine etwas größere Akkukapazität und einen USB-C-Anschluss wünschen. Vielleicht lässt sich auch wieder ein ND-Filter integrieren. Die Kamera ist nun mein täglicher Begleiter und immer bereit für den richtigen Foto-Moment.

I've only had the camera a couple of weeks and am still getting to grips with it but my initial impressions are very favourable. I've taken some half decent shots, shared them and they've been much admired. The layout and handling are familiar from my owning an rx100. It feels like a quality bit of kit and in the designated Sony case it's dead classy. Pleased with my purchase.

Hallo, auf der Suche nach einer kleinen kompakten Kamera (neben meiner Vollformat DSLR's) für Spaziergänge und Streetfotografie mit guter Ausstattung und Qualität, fand ich die RX100 VII. Bestellt, geliefert und die Kamera im Menü auf meine Bedürfnisse eingestellt, somit ausprobiert und für gut empfunden. Die Verarbeitung und Habtik gefällt mir sehr gut. Mit Displayschutz, JJC Griffverstärkung und 2er Set Akku Satz ist sie jetzt perfekt. Somit darf sie mich nun über die Jahre hinweg begleiten.....

Nach vielen Jahren mit diversen Spiegelreflex- und Bridgekameras suchte ich eine qualitativ hochwertige Kompaktkamera mit allen Einstellmöglichkeiten. Mit der Sony RX 100 VII bin ich fündig geworden. Nach etlichen Testtagen kann ich jetzt nur positives berichten. Abbildungsleistung: Top !!! Bedienung: Top!! Insbesondere die Menüführung ist sehr gut strukturiert. Über das Funktionsmenü sind alle Einstellungen schnell zu ändern. Einzig die Akkuleistung ist etwas mager und ich vermisse den USB-C-Anschluß mit Lademöglichkeit in der Kamera.

Fotografiere damit seit Ihrem Erscheinen im Jahr 2019. Ich war auf der Suche nach einer sehr kompakten Kamera mit einem Lichtstarken Zoom mit mindestens 28mm Brennweite (kleinbildäquivalent). Bin nie enttäuscht worden, die Kamera hat alle Features, die ein Amateur-Fotograf benötigt. Seit ich sie in meinem Besitz haben, bleibt meine Spiegelreflexkamera sehr oft zu Hause. Einiges Manko: der schwache Akku (das heißt immer Erstzakku dabeihaben) und kein wirklich "fühlbarer" Auslöser (was man sehr einfach durch einen kleinen erhabenen Punkt auf dem Auslöser lösen könnte).

Tolle Kamera trotz peinlichem Downgrading

Die RX100M7a ist eine fantastische Alleskönner-Kamera, die selbst anspruchsvolle Fotografen nicht enttäuscht. Dass man es 2025 nach 6 Jahren jedoch nicht geschafft hat aus Micro-USB einen USB-C Anschluss zu machen und stattdessen an den Anschluss einfach plump zuklebt, das ist der großartigen Marke SONY nicht würdig. Leider ist die RX100 VII nicht mehr erhältlich und so muss man mit dem Downgrading leben, keine kamerainterne Ladefunktion und keine USB-Datenübertragungsfunktion mehr zu haben. Schade

I normally use large Canon and Leica cameras (which I love) but there are so many times you see a potential shot and don't have anything better than a smartphone to take a photo with. The old sayings "the best camera you have is the one you have with you" and "the number of photos you take is in inverse proportion to the size of camera you use" still hold good. After looking at every option in the pocket camera category - including the equivalent from Canon and Leica - I bought a Sony RX100 VII. It feels reassuringly solid but I recommend the AG-R2 grip, especially if you ever want to shoot one-handed. So far, the results are much better than I hoped for out of a camera this size. I can see it going everywhere with me in the future. The proper viewfinder is a real bonus, though the fold out screen is a pleasure to use.

Bought for travelling. Just done test photos and surprised at quality of results and flexibility of camera. If used Sony before same menu layout as their range. Price a bit heavy but to date satisfied. Did buy a grip for camera which aids with hand holding of the unit

Habe diese Kamera seit ca. 3 Wochen. Bisher nur rumprobiert, noch keine Reiseerfahrung. Bedienung ist selbsterklärend und relativ einfach, wenn man den enormen Funktionsumfang sieht.

Hatte bereits das Modell V und war damals schon begeistert. Mit der VIIa geht’s wirklich nicht besser. Die Kamera habe ich immer dabei. Hat alles was man braucht für eine Vielzahl fotografischer Anwendungsgebiete. Grosse Drucke A2+ sind kein Problem bei sorgfältiger Einstellung und Aufnahme. Und wenn es denn mal sein muss habe ich eine Reichweite von 24-800mm.
