Having recently moved from a heavyweight major brand to a lightweight Sony mirrorless camera, I have purchased the Sony E30mm F3.5 macro intending to see how good the macro facility was, as I have done quite a bit of such work in the past. The macro is very good (see the attached crop of a bee) but also the general usage is excellent. It is now my attached lens for walkabouts because the clarity and resolution appear to at least equal to my other walkabout Sony Zeiss zoom which does not have the macro function. The only snag I have experienced is the nearness required for animated subjects which usually ends up with a blank subject (but not always..!)

I wanted to try macro-photography, but I just wanted to see if it's something I like. This lens isn't expensive and is super sharp! You can get close to the subject and after you learned to work with it, you can make great pictures with it. It's a very great lens to start with macro-photography. There is only one little thing; the lens is quite short, so you must avoid working in your own shadow and watch out you don't create a shadow while getting very close to the subject. But you can work around that pretty easy. It's also a great lens for portraits and landscapes. I use it on my A6000 and I would definitely recommend this lens.

Acheté pour filmer et photographié en faible luminosité. Fait le job. N'est pas un foudre de guerre de réactivité mais honnêtement pour le prix dur de trouver mieux à moins d'investir beaucoup plus se que je ne peux pas faire. Sinon pour le prix très efficace.

Sony liefert dieses Objektiv vollständig aus, d.h. beide Objektivdeckel und eine Gegenlichtblende sind im Lieferumfang enthalten. Das Objektiv ist solide verarbeitet, hat ein Bajonett aus Metall und ist innenfokussierend. Die sich nicht verändernde Länge beträgt ca. 6,5 cm. Mit seinem Gewicht von ca. 130 g passt es sehr gut zu den Alphas mit E-Mount. Das seit 2011 produzierte Objektiv liefert eine sehr gute Bildqualität. Für lebende Objekte ist es aufgrund der geringen Brennweite und dem damit verbundenen Abstand zum Objekt nur eingeschränkt geeignet. Makroaufnahmen eines unbewegten Objektes mit Stativ sind Spitze. Aufgrund seiner Brennweite von 30 mm, umgerechnet auf Vollformat vom 45 mm, ist es auch als Allrounder aufgrund seiner Abbildungsschärfe sehr gut geeignet.

I bought this lens a couple of years ago. The focal length is perhaps shorter than I'd like for macro work - but the autofocus gives me something that my older macro lenses lack. It's also a pretty good standard prime lens on the A6000 or A6500. 49mm filters can attached to the lens itself but then the lens hood cannot be used, however the same 49mm filters can instead be screwed onto the end of the lens hood.

Zum positiven: Das Objektiv ist klein und leicht. Die Bilder sind ausgesprochen scharf, Chromatische Aberrationen habe ich keine sehen können, eben sowenig wie eine Vignettierung. Das Bokeh ist schön weich und eigentlich eines der Besten, das ich so bis jetzt gesehen habe. Weiterhin ist der Vergrößerungsfaktor von 1:1 absolut zufriedenstellend. Zum negativen: Aufgrund der 30mm muss man sehr nah an ein Objekt (bis auf wenige cm) ran. Mal eben ein paar Insekten oder ähnliches zu fotografieren, wird schwer fallen. Das Objektiv schluckt recht viel licht. Um einwandfreie Fotos zu bekommen, sollte man schon eine gute Beleuchtung haben. Der Autofokus ist recht langsam und pumpt ziemlich stark.

Fokussiert schnell, tolles Bouquet. Einziger Nachteil: Das Objektiv gibt es nur in Silber; bei einer schwarzen Kamera (Alpha 6000) sieht das zwar nicht so toll aus, aber dafür überzeugen die Bilder. Ein schützender UV-Filter wird - sofern man die mitgelieferte Sonnenblende verwendet - auf die Sonnenblende geschraubt. Schraubt man den Filter direkt auf das Objektiv, kann die Sonnenblende nicht aufgeschraubt werden.

Haven't had a true macro before, and some are saying this is to short to be considered a true macro but it focuses so close that even at this short 30 mm (35mm equivalent to 45mm with APS-C sensor in my a6000) I can see pollen grains, so whats the issue! Fabulous resolution! Haven't worried about edge to edge but getting great stuff with florals and insects

I've been using this lens for ca. 2 years already, mostly underwater. The pictures are extremely sharp and I actually adore it. I really like the focal distance - 30 mm, thus I'm not also able to make nice pictures of small critters, but also film some average size animals.

I am just an amateur when it comes to photography, but I have really enjoyed using this lens for closeups of flowers, insects, etc. I love just how close I can get and still get a great looking picture. On the flip side, I've even used this lens for portraits with great results. The photos I've included are some of my favorites as a beginner. Only the first two photos have had some minor enhancing done in editing. The others are JPEGs straight from the camera.

Da ich mich auf Makrofotografie spezialisiert und vor kurzem eine Sony Alpha 6000 gekauft habe, wollte ich für das erste Makro-Objektiv noch nicht soviel Geld ausgeben und erst einmal testen wie ich zurechtkomme. Und ich muss sagen, ich wurde nicht enttäuscht und verwende das Objektiv momentan bei einer ganzen Serie von Aufnahmen, die ich für einen Katalog erstellen muss.

C'est un macro avec un objectif fixe (donc pas de zoom) et sans stabilisateur. Donc il vous faudra un trépied obligatoirement. Pas mal pour des photos de portrait. Le Rapport qualité prix est correct.

I bought this for my daughter a month ago and she is so pleased, it is great value for money. The lens takes amazing, crisp photos. After you have taken a photo, when you zoom in the picture is just as crisp as when you were zoomed out. It is worth the money, she is so pleased with the lens.

Das Objektiv macht scharfe Bilder bei großen wie auch kleinen Abständen. Es ist angenehm leicht und fokussiert schnell und genau. Im Makrobereich muss man die Blende etwas schließen, sonst ist die Tiefenschärfe für die meisten Aufnahmen zu gering. Ich konnte schon sehr schöne Aufnhamen von Blüten oder anderen Pflanzenteilen machen. Insekten sind eher schwierig, da man wegen der kurzen Brennweite auch in geringem Abstand photographieren muss.

Having recently moved from a heavyweight major brand to a lightweight Sony mirrorless camera, I have purchased the Sony E30mm F3.5 macro intending to see how good the macro facility was, as I have done quite a bit of such work in the past. The macro is very good (see the attached crop of a bee) but also the general usage is excellent. It is now my attached lens for walkabouts because the clarity and resolution appear to at least equal to my other walkabout Sony Zeiss zoom which does not have the macro function. The only snag I have experienced is the nearness required for animated subjects which usually ends up with a blank subject (but not always..!)

Gleich nachdem ich das Objektiv an meine a5100 geschraubt hatte, habe ich ein paar Probefotos gemacht und war ziemlich glücklich. Bei den Kritiken, die ich gelesen hatte, wurde oft bemängelt, dass sich die Kamera nicht schnell genug scharfstellt, allerdings habe ich dieses Problem selten, da ich gerne manuell fokussiere. Bei den Aufnahmen, die ich mit Autofokus gemacht habe, konnte ich aber auch keine nennenswerte Verzögerung feststellen. Auch hatte ich Bedenken, weil das Objektiv ja als Makro-Objektiv angeboten wird, aber ich habe auch diverse "Landschaftsaufnahmen" gemacht, und bin ziemlich glücklich damit. Insgesamt ist das Objektiv lichtstark genug, hat natürlich seinen großen Vorteil im Makrobereich, kann aber für meine Zwecke auch als Allround-Objektiv benutzt werden.

Ich habe diese Objektiv im Februar 2015 gekauft, da ich ein Makro Objektiv gebraucht habe. Ich denke es ist ein gutes preis Leistung Verhältnis. Was absolut genial ist die minimale Entfernung von einen Objekt. Diese beträgt gerade mal 9,5 cm.

Das kleine Makro ist ein tolles Beispiel dafür, dass Tests nicht immer ganz aussagekräftig sind. Während es auf Distanz tatsächlich schwächen in den Ecken aufweist ist es im Nahbereich bis in diese sehr scharf. Zudem bricht die Auflösung im Nahbereich auch bei geschlossener Blende (f/22) nicht zusammen, womit sich die Schärfezone ohne sichtbare Qualitätseinbußen über den gesamten Blendenbereich bestimmen lässt. Bei der Naheinstellgrenze, wo es eine Vergrößerung von 1:1 erreicht, beträgt der Abstand zwischen Motiv und Frontlinse ca. 2,5cm. Es hat eine clever konstruierte sehr flach bauende Streulichtblende die da Objektiv im angesetzten Zustand um nur ca. 9mm verlängert und wie das Objektiv selbst über ein 49mm Filtergewinde verfügt. Somit lässt sich der Objektivdeckel auch auf der angesetzte Streulichtblende verwenden. Der Autofokus arbeitet sehr leise und präzise. Durch die Innenfokussierung hat das Objektiv keinen ausfahrenden Tubus - der Abstand der Frontlinse zum Motiv ist also gleichbleibend. Das E 30mm F3,5 Makro ist ein "Speziallist" der im Nahbereich durchaus überzeugend seine Stärken ausspielt. Beim Einsatz als Normalobjektiv erreicht es in der Bildmitte bereits bei offener Blende eine sehr hohe Auflösung die zu den Bildrändern abfällt. Der Abfall der Auflösung zu den Ecken, der bei bei Landschafts- oder Architekturaufnahmen stören kann, fällt in den meisten alltäglichen Fotosituationen nicht weiter auf. Als Normalobjektiv kann es sich meiner Meinung nach nicht nennenswert von den flexibleren Kit-Objektiven absetzen. Mein Fazit: Tolles kleines und leichtes Makro-Objektiv mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Als reines Normalobjektiv würde ich das lichtstärkere E 35mm F1,8 OSS bevorzugen.

Permet de faire des photos avec l'objectif quasiment collé au sujet avec une profondeur de champs courte pour donner de beaux effets. La course de la bague de mise au point est très longue, donc il faut parfois du temps pour arriver au point de netteté, mais cela permet en revanche d'être très précis.

It's a great macro lens. Great quality of photos, it's also sharp. I'm happy that it's also quite small, so doesn't make any problems often carrying it with me. The only drawback that I know is slow autofocus. And often when I want to focus on something rather small it doesn't get it.
