First off, this SONY 200-600mm 5.6-6.3 G OSS lens looks and feels like a $5,000.00 DOLLAR Lens. I bought this along with the OUTSTANDING SONY 2X Convertor. This lens is an EXCELLENT VALUE! Extremely Sharp with FAST INTERNAL Focusing. It is built like a TANK but doesn't weigh like one.The following photos were taken all on my Sony A6500 The Wood Peckor was taken in very low rainy light @ 4000 ISO

Ich habe das Objektiv Ende Oktober 24 online bei einem Fotohändler gekauft. Der Grund für diesen Kauf war, dass ich mein Sigma 150 - 600 DG OS HSM Contemporary 015 (Canon-Anschluss + Sigma Adapter) aus dem Jahre 2016 durch ein SEL200600G ersetzen wollte, da ich von Canon zu Sony abgewandert war. Mit der Bildqualität des Sigmaobjektivs war ich äußerst zufrieden. Die Schärfe reichte fast an die physikalische denkbaren Grenzen über die gesamte Brennweite. Ich habe eine sehr ruhige Hand und konnte selbst bei 600 mm sehr häufig, dank des Stabilisators, scharfe und klare Bilder unter einer hundertstel Sekunde erzielen und damit die ISO- Werte weitgehend niedrig halten. Nachdem ich mir mal für ein paar Minuten bei einer Vogelexkursion ein Sony 200-600 Tele ausgeliehen hatte, war ich von der Fokussiergeschwindigkeit und Bedienerfreundlichkeit.im Vergleich zum Sigma sehr angetan. Ich besitze die Alfa 7m3, 7r3a und 7m4. An keiner dieser Bodys bekomme ich zuverlässig scharfe Fotos. 1. Unter einer tausendstel Sekunde brauche ich gar nicht erst wegen der Verwackelungsgefahr anzufangen und 2. schon gar nicht bei Offenblende wegen des Schärfeverlustes. 3. und hier sehr starke nicht in Lightroom kompensierbare Vignettierung. 4. Sehr starke Kontraste wie z.B. eine weiße Blesse neben dem schwarzen Federkleid eines Blesshuhns im Sonnenschein führt zu Überstrahlungen. 5. Bei Belichtungszeiten unter einer tausendstel Sek. kommt es bei bewegten Objekten. z.B. schwimmende Enten und fliegenden Tieren zu "Schatten- oder Doppelbildern" und anderen merkwürdigen Artefakten als würde der Autofokus und oder Stabilisator innerhalb der Belichtungszeit zwecks "Nachjustierung" springen. 6. Das Sucherbild ist im Vergleich zum Sigma sehr unruhig. Ich habe sehr viele verschiedene Einstellungen ausprobiert, um konstante Bildergebnisse zu erzielen: Unterschiedliche Stabilisierungsmodi, AF-S, AF-C, Fokusfelder, Blenden- und Zeiteinstellungen, natürlich immer bei Abänderung eines Parameters, ausprobiert, ohne auch wirklich reproduzierbare und zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse zu erzielen. Von daher kann ich dieses Objektiv keinesfalls weiterempfehlen.

Ich habe an einer Cash Back Aktion teilgenommen. Die erforderlichen Unterlagen wollte ich am letztmöglichen Termin einreichen. Leider funktionierte det Zugang zur Internetseite von Sony nicht. Deshalb habe ich eine Entsprechende Msil an Sony gesandt. Der Service hat sich kurzfristig mit mir innVerbindung gesetzt und ich habe den Preisnachlass unkompliziert erhalten. Mit den beiden Objekten die ich im Rahmen der Cash Back Aktion erworben habe bin ich auch sehr zufrieden. Es handelt sich um ein Teleobjektiv 200 - bis 600 mm FE 5.6 - 6.3 und ein lichtstarkes Weitwinkel 14 mm FE 1.8.

Großartiges Telezoom mit exzellenter Abbildungsleistung zum unschlagbaren Preis. Das FE 200-600 wird von mir an einer a7V für Wildlife genutzt. Besonders die unglaubliche Schärfe des extrem schnellen und leisen Autofokus und die fast geräuschlose Bildstabilisierung machen es in dieser Preisklasse für mich einzigartig. Die mechanische Verarbeitung ist, verglichen mit den Mitbewerbern, ebenfalls tadellos. Sowohl das Innenzoom wie auch der Zusatzdrehring laufen ruckelfrei und ohne jegliches mechanische Spiel. Das Bajonett ist mit einem Dichtring zum Kameragehäuse versehen und lässt Staub und Feuchtigkeit somit keine Chance. Die Stativschelle ist bequem entriegelbar und hält das Equipment sicher. Aufgrund der extrem hochwertigen Verarbeitung ist das 200-600 natürlich kein Leichtgewicht. Für mich ist dieses Objektiv eine echte Offenbarung. Ich möchte nicht mehr darauf verzichten und kann es tatsächlich ohne Einschränkung empfehlen.

I bought this lens a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad I did. I have been blown away by both the quality of the images produced and how exact and intuitive the controls are. There is enough resistance to not feel 'sloppy' but not so much that there's a jerk or snap point as you vary the zoom or focus. I love it!

Habe das Objektiv seit zwei Wochen und hauptsächlich für Vogelfotografie genutzt: Ein Falke auf hundert Meter lässt sich bei halbwegs gutem Licht in ca. 2000x1500 Pixel scharf im Flug abbilden. Ideal für Wildlife. Aber nicht unbedingt mit Telekonvertern spekulieren, um die Brennweite noch mal zu verlängern. Die Schärfe lässt dann doch recht deutlich nach

I recently bought this lens to photograph wildlife in 2026, i also bought the Sony A7V when it was launched to pair to this lens to benefit the tracking and up to 30 FPS. The optical stabilisation is incredible and for me the weight is ideal to handhold, the internal zoom is also great for stability.

Ich hatte vorher das Tamron 150-500mm für meine Sony APSC Kameras und war irgendwie nie so richtig zufrieden damit. Die Bilder waren o. K. und auch einigermaßen scharf, aber ich hatte immer den Eindruck das muss besser gehen. Ich habe mir dann zuerst das Sony 200-600 für ein Wochenende geliehen, und plötzlich waren die Bilder genau das was ich immer erwartet hatte. Knackscharf, klar und super Qualität. Hab mir dann das Objektiv sofort bestellt und den Kauf keine Sekunde bereut. Kann die Linse nur jedem empfehlen.

As expected I found the lens fast focusing when using my A7Cii and my A7CR. It has the reach i need in one of the most compact forms. I successfully shot birds and even the moon. Combine with a 2x tellconverter the reach is impressive. I did replace the foot for a third party alternative but apart from that I fully recommend this lens.

The ability of the lens to focus when hand held at 600mm is amazing. I have added this lens for use with an A7 mk iv and and use it not only for planned outings (usually using a tripod) but also for opportunities as and when.

I have had this telephoto lens for about a month and I have been very satisfied with the results. I had delayed buying this lens for some months as I was concerned that the weight would be an issue and I should perhaps buy the smaller Sony 100-400mm telephoto lens. In facts the extra 200mm has proved very beneficial when photographing birds and wildlife, even when hand holding the lens. I also wear glasses and I knew I needed a Sony lens with fast, accurate auto focusing abilities. The Sony 200-600mm lens does not disappoint.

I have been using the lens for around a month now and I have to say I am stunned at some of the results I have produced with it so far. It obviously isn't the brightest lens but when used to it's full potential it still produces a beautiful image even while being used handheld. The sharpness is fantastic and the colour rendition is brilliant too. I haven't noticed any CA or vignetting and it is a lens you can easily shoot handheld but it goes without saying that to get the best from it at 600mm a tripod is a good call. For the budget I had I chose this lens to pair with a sony A7 IV and they are a great match and the weight means I can easily shoot handheld for a full day and still produce a great quality image. This is a G lens so you do get what you pay for and I am always eager to get out and use it for wildlife photography. My ONLY issue with this lens is the location of the focusing ring and zoom ring, I wish they were the other way around but it is not the end of the world and I will get used to that in time.

When i first picked up the FE 200-600 from Wex in Leeds UK i couldn’t wait to pop it onto my A6700. Quick read of the manual regarding the mode switches and i was straight out in the garden. The main thing is getting used to the extra weight and how to hold and adjust the very quick zoom etc. once you build up the muscle memory it becomes a great carry around lens and a joy to use. I am getting some very sharp images of small birds and some lovely distance architecture shots as well. The image stabilisation is very good when the correct mode is switched on and once connected to a tripod or monopod it becomes very stable and again a joy to use.

I'm back with this review after more than 5 months of use. It's an excellent lens, I've taken photos taken with different models of Sony A7 III, A7 IV, A7R V cameras and it performed excellently. To use the maximum potential of the lens, you shouldn't put the camera on auto mode, as the results will be poor. The photos posted in the review are taken with the 3 cameras mentioned.

I recently bought this lens and as with all my Sony lenses, it is living up to my expectations. My main use for this is to capture birds in flight. As I am getting used to it, it is becoming better and better. I will let the images speak for me. Most of the following were taken at distances between 50 and 150mtrs.

J’ai acheté cet objectif pour la photo animalière et notamment d’oiseaux. Je suis une femme , il est un peu lourd pour moi. Mais avec un harnais Cotton carrier je peux le porter aisément pendant une demi journée. Je l’utilise à main levée principalement, les boutons supplémentaires ne me servent malheureusement pas. Mes photos sont véritablement nettes ! C’est époustouflant ! Le fait que l’objectif conserve toujours la même taille est véritablement un plus à main levée. La qualité est la, j’ai fait pas mal de photos sous la pluie en Allemagne et aucun problème à déplorer malgré les très grosses averses. Prévoyez tout de même de quoi l’habiller, le blanc est assez voyant dans la forêt !

Ich bin mit dem Objektiv sehr zufrieden. Der Autofokus ist schnell und mit einer Viertel Umdrehung ist der gesamte Zoombereich abgedeckt. Das Gewicht - Gleichgewicht des Objektivs ändert sich nicht. Es ist leichter und kürzer als das 400- 800. Mit dem großen Objektiv hatte ich Schwierigkeiten einen fliegenden Vogel überhaupt erst mal ins Bild zu bekommen.

Erstaunlich, dass dieses Objektiv an der A6700 auch ohne Stativ nutzbar ist. Das Gewicht ist natürlich höher als bei kleineren Objektiven und es braucht mehr Platz im Rucksack - aber das geht ja auch kaum anders.

I purchased this lens and it has travelled with me four times to Costa Rica for bird photography. I find the lens sharp with good colour rendition. I also have used the lens for shooting the solar eclipse and moon shots. Overall I am happy with the lens and have no complaints.

Initial uncertainty around 200-600mm vs 100-400mm...and the extra weight issues! Important admission...I'm a birder...NOT a bird photographer. I simply wanted a camera/lens that would get me great record shots, in most situations. So glad I went for the 200-600mm! The extra 'reach' is amazing...as is the image quality; even in quite difficult conditions. The weight issue is quite minor... as it's easy to carry with a Black Rapid Strap... Hand-holding the camera/lens combo has not been problemmatic...for still, active & BIF. I've been using it for a few weeks now...protected with LensCoat cover...no issues thus far! Delighted I chose the 200-600mm...it was excellent value for money & giving great results.
